Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty NYC
As aesthetic medicine advances, new developments become available, including a rhinoplasty (or nose job) performed without surgery. While this may have been unimaginable in the past, the treatment is now available at New Face NY. Are you unhappy with the appearance, size, or shape of your nose? You may be a candidate for a non-surgical rhinoplasty, without the long recovery and downtime.
How Does a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Work?
While a traditional rhinoplasty involves removing excess tissue and cartilage, and sculpting the area to a more pleasing, balanced shape and size, this procedure involves the use of dermal fillers to change the shape of the nose to a more attractive look. It is an effective method to camouflage cosmetic problems such as a dorsal hump (the bump or rise in the nose structure, visible when your face is viewed in profile), resolve any irregularities or other defects in shape, or enhance the nasal tip so it is more attractive, balanced, and in harmony with your other facial features.
After determining which areas of the nose to treat, the process involves injecting Juvederm to create a more pleasing profile. Juvederm is an injectable gel made from hyaluronic acid, a substance that naturally occurs in the body. This synthetic form of the acid is easily tolerated, and one of the most effective fillers for various facial flaws and conditions. Whether you are unhappy with a hump on your nose in profile, feel the slope of your nose is unattractive, or have an upturned nose you would like to change, these injections can add subtle but effective volume -- instantly creating a more pleasing profile.
What Types of Flaws can a Non-Surgical Nose Job Resolve?
While a non-surgical rhinoplasty will not resolve every nose problem, it is effective for a range of flaws that impact the facial appearance. Some of the most common aesthetic issues that can be treated non-surgically include:
- Bump on bridge of nose
- Concave bridge of nose
- Upturned nose
- Bulge on nose
- Deep nostril humps
Your First Step in a Non-Surgical Nose Job
To perform the procedure, the first step is a full evaluation of your nose and face. We will determine what can be done to enhance your appearance and bring about a more pleasing balance between the nose and your other facial features. It takes the eye of an artist to understand how the features should enhance each other to create the look recognized as beauty in our culture. Dr. Westreich has an artist’s eye for balance and structure, and will carefully evaluate your condition and advise you of the most effective treatment to bring about the appearance you want. In many cases, a non-surgical rhinoplasty will be the right treatment.
A 15-Minute Procedure
This procedure is very fast, typically requiring only 15 minutes to perform, and producing immediate results. To inject the Juvederm into the targeted area, Dr. Westreich uses a tiny cannula, similar to a needle, through which the Juvederm will flow. The procedure is considered pain-free, and does not involve downtime or a long recovery. No stitches, scalpel, or bandages are involved. Most patients can return to their normal activities directly after treatment. There are rarely cases that involve bruising, and swelling is minor. Technique could not be more important in getting the result you want, and this procedure should only be performed by a highly-skilled, board-certified plastic surgeon.

Details of the procedure
The F.I.T. lift is divided into three parts. The first stage is to address the double chin using Kybella, an FDA-approved injectable that melts fat deposits without the use of lasers or surgery. Kybella works to permanently eradicate the fat cells that build up beneath the chin, rejuvenating the profile and slimming the neck contours.
The second stage of the F.I.T. lift involves laser skin tightening of the neck area, which beautifully restores the skin cells as it stimulates the regrowth of collagen and elastin, two proteins responsible for skin resilience. The laser treatment is also extremely effective in treating sun damage and other superficial skin imperfections.
Phase three involves the injection of BOTOX directly into the neck muscles. This safe, versatile treatment improves muscle tone, relaxing cramped or tight muscles that tend to telegraph aging. BOTOX also aids in smoothing away unwanted creases, folds and wrinkles, as well as the thin, crepe-like skin that is so difficult to camouflage.
Can the F.I.T. lift be used interchangeably with a surgical neck lift?
While the F.I.T. lift has many benefits and can provide an excellent alternative to surgery, a traditional neck lift will provide more comprehensive changes to the neck region, but at a price. There is more downtime, discomfort and cost associated with the surgical neck lift, so it should only be employed in cases where the banding, aging and weight gain are more pronounced. Dr. Westreich is happy to go over the details of both treatments during your initial consultation to determine which procedure best meets your aesthetic needs and wishes.
