Description
PROFILE AND TIP RHINOPLASTY WITH DEPROJECTION
Full Case Details
Mrs. R. had significant nasal obstruction and concern for her ptotic and over-projected tip, as well as her elevated profile. A closed septorhinoplasty was performed using extended tip-plasty technique called a lateral crural overlay. While this procedure is traditionally done using an open approach, Dr. Westreich performs it primarily as a closed procedure in order to minimize post operative swelling and eliminate the potential for visible incisions. The lateral overlay technique provides significant rotation and deprojection of the nasal tip in patients with more significant contour issues, such as this case.
