Full Case Details:

This patient had concerns for congestion as well as a dorsal hump and a droopy tip. This case demonstrates how the balance of the profile to the tip can significantly add to the illusion of droopiness. A conservative profile reduction with a right spreader graft for straightening was done. The tip was narrowed more in shape than size and the septum was corrected with advanced septoplasty techniques, including cartilage scoring and repositioning of the lower portion of the septum with sutures. Alar rim graphs were also placed to prevent over narrowing of the tip. Fat was placed over the cartilage as well as the tip for softening of contours and bony material, known as bone pate, was placed on the bony bridge to help with a smooth outcome.
