Full Case Details:
A well-performed tip and profile rhinoplasty not only creates a more attractive nose but also makes other features, like the eyes, take center stage. This patient was concerned about a dorsal hump as well as an over projected and droopy tip. She considered going overseas for surgery, but decided to stay locally instead. She found our office through social media. We went through two separate rounds of imaging showing different variations and ultimately she chose the less projected one. In order to accomplish this we did a closed profile reduction with bilateral spreader grafts, rotational tip reshaping with placement of a columellar strut and bilateral alar rim graphs. In order to achieve enhanced deprojection, the tip cartilages were shortened in the columellar segment, a maneuver called vertical lobular division.
