Full Case Details:
Ethnic Rhinoplasty can be performed on thicker skinned patients and still achieve a beautiful result. This patient underwent a closed primary Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty to correct a droopy tip and a dorsal hump. A right spreader graft was placed and the profile was reduced. The nasal bones were recontoured and narrowed. The tip was reshaped using tip sutures, a columellar strut and a cap graft. A right alar rim graft was placed for symmetry and support. This tip was not ptotic, it was what I call down-ish. The balance and the overall nasal shape make it appear down. Rotating this tip would have made the nose look too up and the nostrils would become too visible. Instead, correcting the profile-tip imbalance and raising the tip defining point made the tip look elevated.
